Pierre Risser serves ABP customers in France and North Africa on behalf of Laempe + Fischer
For about a year now, Laempe + Fischer has been representing ABP Induction in France and North Africa. One of the main points of contact for customers in this region is Pierre Risser. The 34‑year‑old combines technical understanding with close customer engagement and supports projects from the initial inquiry through to commissioning. In this role, he sees himself above all as the link between customers and ABP.
Anyone who talks to Pierre Risser quickly realizes that, for him, the foundry industry is much more than just a line of business. It is a network of people, technologies, and long-term partnerships. As an employee of Laempe + Fischer, he now supports ABP customers in France as well as in North African markets such as Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia – a role that demands deep expertise, strong organizational skills and clear communication.
Laempe + Fischer has been active for many years as a sales partner for well-known companies in the foundry industry. The company, based in Ensisheim in Alsace, between Mulhouse and Colmar near the German border, supports foundries with investment projects and service requests. For about a year now, ABP has also been part of the partner portfolio.
“Our customers are exclusively foundries,” explains Pierre Risser. Together with his colleagues, he supports customers throughout the entire project lifecycle: “We handle the business side of things, such as the customer’s request for a quote, as well as the implementation – that is, all the way through to commissioning and service.”
Laempe + Fischer serves as the local point of contact between customers and the respective manufacturers. Some customers contact ABP directly, while others first get in touch with a sales partner. “Either the customer contacts the supplier directly, or they submit the request to us. Then we pass them on and support the entire process.”
His own career began in a technical field. Pierre Risser originally comes from design engineering and toolmaking. Working with 3D CAD systems and technical solutions shaped his entry into professional life. This technical expertise helps him today to understand his clients’ needs and work with ABP to develop appropriate solutions.
Alongside his sales work, numerous organizational tasks are also part of his daily routine. Customer appointments, project support, service requests, and translations between the involved partners are fixed components of his work. He places particular importance on working closely with his contacts at ABP. Whether it’s new installations, replacement parts, or service requests – regular communication ensures that customers receive prompt and expert support. The size of the area we serve makes the task even more exciting.
The fact that Laempe + Fischer represents exclusively German companies is no coincidence. The various partners complement one another and, together, cover numerous areas of a modern foundry. “The companies are not competing with one another,” explains Risser. “In the end, this allows you to cover an entire foundry.”
With his technical expertise, his close relationship with customers, and his role as a bridge between cultures and markets, Pierre Risser is helping to further expand ABP’s presence in France and North Africa. For customers, he is often the first point of contact on site – and thus an important representative of the partnership between Laempe + Fischer and ABP.
