Two intensive days at the German Foundry Day 2026 in Göttingen are behind the ABP Induction team – for the company far more than just an industry gathering. The event was a powerful sign of how closely our industry is coming together right now to tackle the major challenges of the future together.

For ABP, it was important to be part of this major event as a sponsor and exhibitor and to engage in direct dialogue with customers, partners, and many familiar faces from the industry. The many open discussions at the ABP booth with decision‑makers, foundries and technology partners were especially valuable for the ABP team – focusing on the topics currently shaping our industry: decarbonization, digitalization, skilled‑labour shortages, geopolitical changes and rising competitive pressure. The team on site took a lot away from this.

The current topic of digitalization, in particular, has highlighted the potential of intelligent processes and data-driven solutions. The participation of Albert Miller, Global Head of Digital Solutions at ABP, in the panel discussion on the digital transformation of the foundry industry provided important insights and demonstrated that digital transformation is not an end in itself, but rather a key driver of efficiency, productivity, and sustainability in the foundry industry. ABP offers a wide range of products in this area. Beyond the technical discussions, the ABP team took away one thing above all – the impression of an industry that, despite all challenges, must be ready to actively shape change. Exactly this exchange, this openness and this joint work on solutions make events like the German Foundry Day so valuable.
