ABP Team visits customers in Brazil together with partner GoBR
During FENAF 2026, ABP Induction took advantage of its time in Brazil to hold in-depth discussions with customers and share a booth at the trade show with its long-standing partner, GoBR Solutions. The trip demonstrated how important it is to combine international technological expertise, personal interaction, and reliable on-site support.
It was important to have a presence in Brazil: After all, FENAF in São Paulo is one of the most important gathering places for the South American foundry industry. For ABP Induction, the 21st edition of the trade show was therefore much more than just an opportunity to showcase technologies and solutions. Together with GoBR Solutions, the company combined its trade show appearance with a trip to visit key customers in Brazil. ABP CEO Till Schreiter and Alexander Keller, Head of System Sales, were able to gain first-hand insight into the issues that local companies are facing and the requirements they have for foundry technology of the future.
Challenges discussed during customer visits
The customer visits made it clear that Brazilian industry faces challenges similar to those faced by companies in many other parts of the world: production processes must become more efficient, equipment more reliable, and energy use more sustainable. At the same time, demand is growing for digital solutions that create transparency, support maintenance and reveal optimization potential during ongoing operations. For ABP, it was therefore especially important not just to talk about individual products, but to work with customers to consider how their processes and systems can continue to evolve.
One stop on the trip was Metalslider in Cachoeira, Betim. The company operates seven modern furnaces and has a production capacity of 30,000 metric tons per month. In addition to producing pig iron with various chemical compositions, Metalslider leverages synergies throughout the entire production chain with its own foundry. The discussion focused on the transformation of the industry and the question of how innovative solutions can contribute to greater efficiency and lower emissions.
At PAM Saint-Gobain Brasil, too, the focus was on technical exchange and long-standing cooperation. PAM Saint-Gobain has been a customer and partner of ABP for many years across several continents. The company has been operating in Brazil for more than 100 years and offers solutions for water supply, industry, irrigation, mining, construction, and agriculture, among other sectors.
At Tupy in Joinville, the focus was primarily on digitalization, process optimization and maintenance. This internationally active company manufactures highly complex cast-iron structural components that are used in freight transport, infrastructure, agriculture, and energy production, among other sectors. During the discussion, the ABP team presented current digital solutions such as the myABP platform and OptiCharge, as well as the consulting services offered by ABP Consultancy. In addition, there was discussion on how processes in foundry operations can be further optimized with the help of simulations. The Meltshop Designer, developed by ABP, also played an important role in this process, as it allows plant designs and processes to be digitally analyzed and refined.
On the road with GoBR
The visits were accompanied by the team led by Carlos Guedes from GoBR Solutions. The joint trip underscored the central importance of the Brazilian partner in fostering close relationships with customers and users. The roughly 20‑member team led by Carlos Guedes and Fabio Morato supports companies with repairs, spare parts, retrofits and troubleshooting. This allows GoBR to combine ABP’s international reach with short response times, regional expertise and reliable support in the Brazilian market. This gives customers a decisive advantage: They can draw on ABP’s global expertise while also having competent contacts right on site.
This collaboration also shaped their joint presence at FENAF from 21 to 24 July 2026 at the São Paulo Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. At the booth, ABP and GoBR showcased solutions for decarbonization, digitalization, efficiency improvement, maintenance and retrofit. Till Schreiter was available in particular for discussions on the strategic topics of CO₂ neutrality, green steel and industrial transformation. Alexander Keller contributed his expertise in innovative plant solutions, including those for the aluminum industry The GoBR team, in turn, provided information on services for existing ABP systems and on ways to specifically enhance their performance and extend their service life.
The ABP EcoLine product line also once again attracted significant attention – ABP’s compact entry‑level solution for inductive melting.
Numerous discussions with customers, partners and interested industry visitors underscored the importance of FENAF as a key platform for the South American market. At the same time, the trade‑fair appearance demonstrated ABP’s international strength: Expertise from the German headquarters, the Asian locations, South Africa, Mexico and the USA is combined with GoBR’s regional capabilities to develop solutions precisely tailored to each set of requirements.
The days in Brazil also made one thing especially clear to the ABP team: Successful partnership is not created by technology alone. It thrives on personal exchange, mutual trust, and the willingness to tackle challenges together. The customer visits and the joint appearance at FENAF further strengthened this partnership – while also providing important momentum for future projects in the Brazilian market.
