European mechanical and plant engineering in focus at the event in Berlin
Around 600 executives from industry, associations and politics, along with German heads of mission worldwide, gathered at the Economic Day of the Ambassadors’ Conference BoKoWiTa2026 – as part of the 24th Conference of the Heads of Germany’s missions abroad in Berlin.
ABP CEO Till Schreiter, who also serves as Chairman of the VDMA Metallurgy & Thermoprocessing Association, actively advocated for the interests of European mechanical and plant engineering in the dialogue at the Foreign Office conference. VDMA President Bertram Kawlath later took part in the expert panel on stage. The discussions highlighted the growing challenges German companies face internationally – from unfair competition to new tariff barriers.
